According to the inscription on the stele the
Chrysippos, son of Damasias, from Phlya (Chalandri) is depicted. He is shown as a mature bearded man, with a little baldness over the forehead. Both his short hair and short beard are rendered in low relief. The austere expression of the face and his «intense» look evoke portraits of intellectuals of the Classical past (Demosthenes).
